Xiotech Quote
Xiotech announced Virtual View which lets you easily manage VMware storage on their Magnitude and Emprise SANs. I looked at it at SNW and plan to deploy it this summer. Wound up being quoted in a press release from Xiotech, and then interviewed by Beth Pariseau for an article in SearchStorage.com. Nothing particularly insightful or earth shattering, but quoted nonetheless. And they all managed to spell my last name correctly.

I took a look at this via weinar recently and it is a very significant move at making you VM envirnomnet and Data storage work together. I don’t see anyone else in Storage doing anyhting like this. We looked at Xiotech a couple of years ago for our centralized SAN but our current vendor came in and dropped their pants to keep us. We are about to look again and I am really impressed with Xiotechs new look. they seem to be back on track and doing some really good stuff. They are the only one I can find that ties in web services with both servers and now VNware. They seem to be getting somehting right recnetly, lot’s of very good redo in the product line, they seem energized.
