Shaggy came home this morning. When we arrived at AVS to take him home, the nurse told us he had chewed through his catheter and tried to take the stuffing out of his bandage, so he was ready to get out of there. His back leg bothers him because of the wound back there, so he swings it out wide when he walks. She said the day before he would only walk backwards, but today he moved forwards… to get to his food. Nothing can stop that appetite of his. He has been laying on the dog beds in the kitchen, fussing and whining at times, but overall seems to be doing OK. He goes back tomorrow night to have his bandages changed, and then at the end of the month he’ll have the staples removed.
