Twitter and Tweets

I haven’t been posting as much lately, partly because I’ve been busy with other things but also due to Twitter If you haven’t heard of Twitter, think of it is a mini-blog with posts limited to 140 characters or less. Twitter lets you keep people up-to-date with what you’re doing on a more immediate basis than a blog. When i first heard about it, I have to admit I didn’t think much of the concept. But I had to go ahead and lay claim to my Twitter name before someone else grabbed it. I didn’t plan on using it, but the ease with which you can post (I usually text from my phone) and short nature of updates can become addictive.

What would really be handy, however, is a way for my Twitter postings (or Tweets as they are called) to be cross-posted here on the web site. Along comes Brandon Fuller with MT-Twitter, a plug-in for Movable Type. I just installed it and will give it a test run shortly.

So, assuming all goes well, folks who follow my blog will probably see more frequent, albeit shorter posts. You can also check out my Twitter ramblings directly if you like at: at
