The TechEd Countdown website has a new look!
TechEd Countdown v2 just went live with a new look and feel and a couple of extra pages. The site is only nine days old (see my recent announcement), but what was there was really just a placeholder to buy some time.
The first version of the site was a result of me playing around with using CSS to create a responsive design. It sort of worked, but it was a bit too responsive in spots. it also would never have scaled as I added more pages. I looked around online, and discovered Bootstrap, a front-end framework that made designing the look and feel of the site much easier. Give it a look-see if you’re building sites or mobile apps from scratch. If you want to know more about what went into the site, visit the About page.
Take a look at the new TechEd Countdown Bling page if you want to use the same countdown image (and more) that is posted daily on Twitter. It’s an experiment, so I’ll see how it goes. I’m not expecting much volume, so I think it’ll be OK.
So please visit the site, and if you like it, be sure to spread the word and RT those tweets! In case you forgot the address, go to:
