Microsoft TechEd Bling for Your Blog
The first thing I did after registering for TechEd was to add some TechEd blog bling to my site. Look to the right of this post, and you’ll see one of seven lovely images that Microsoft has made available to add some color to our blogs and help spread the word about TechEd.
If you’d like to add some bling to your own blog, you can download the images from the TechEd North America Blog Bling page.
I’m using the WordPress plugin “Random File” to pick a random image on every page load. I saved the photos to a directory on the server and added the following line to a PHP Code widget, specifying the location of the files.
<img alt="TechEd 2014 Bling" src="" />
There are some plugins specifically for images, but I didn’t want the images to rotate while viewing the page, only on a reload. Depending on what you might want to do on your site, a different plugin may be more appropriate.
Go out, download your favorite image, and let the world l know you’re headed to Houston next year. Or do like I did and download all of them!
See you in Houston!
