TechEd 2014 Countdown Show Ep. 18: The One with the Tech Expo
Rick Claus (@RicksterCDN) and Joey Snow (@JoeySnow) have a special guest in episode 18, Michelle Devereaux, Partner Channel Manager, to talk about the largest area at TechEd: the Tech Expo!
If TechEd is a city, then the Tech Expo is TechEd’s downtown, the hub of activity. In the middle of the space you will find the Microsoft Solutions Experience, a great place to go to learn more about Microsoft products and services and get a chance to pick the brains of experts from Microsoft. Arrayed around the Microsoft area are the 200+ partner booths. These booths range from the Gold and Platinum sponsors with the largest exhibits right up front to smaller (yet no less valuable) booths from partners of every size and specialty. A number of System Center Alliance partners are co-located near the back of the exhibitor space, although some that are sponsor will be in other areas. You can identify alliance members by a blue dot in the exhibitor listing.
When you need a break, check out one of the many lounges scattered around the expo floor, get oriented at the Digital Wall, or enjoy the amenities (as yet unknown) at the Alumni Lounge. You could also stop by the Channel 9 stage, way in the back, and say hi to Joey and Rick and the rest of the Channel 9 personalities, and may be a catch a show or two. Rick hints there may be some announcements made from that stage or coverage of announcements made elsewhere, so you definitely want to make it a point to visit. Joey also mentioned that the final Countdown Show for TechEd 2014 will be live onsite in Houston. Followers of Patch and Switch will be excited as well to be in the audience for the first Patch and Switch Live! show at TechEd this year. That will be at 11:30 AM CDT on Thursday May 15.
There was also a reminder that registration is open for TechEd Europe, so don’t miss out!
You can always find The TechEd Countdown Show over at Channel 9, but why not just watch it here? Enjoy!
