Rally for Barack Obama
Barack Obama was in St. Louis on Saturday (October 18) for a rally at the Arch. Kristin and I decided to head down there since this will probably be the last time Obama is in the area. We took the Metro and were in line around 10:15. Didn’t get on to the Arch grounds until 11:30. All the heavy hitters were there, getting the crowd warmed up for Obama. Speakers included Rep. Clay Lacy, Sen. Claire McCaskill, and Attorney General (soon-to-be Governor) Jay Nixon.
Obama took the stage around 12:15 and spoke for ~40 minutes. We were pretty far away, so the pictures aren’t great, but good enough that you can see who it is. Here’s a preview of what I’ve posted:

You can see the rest on the Flickr album.
Afterwards, we headed over to Tigin Irish Pub at the Hampton Inn for lunch. If you go, I recommend the cheddar and white pudding toastie. Yummm!
