New Orleans Day 3 Photos

Photos from the third day of my trip to New Orleans are now online. A sample of the set is listed below. You can see the photos either at Flickr or Facebook (assuming we’re friends on FB).

Monday was my last full day in New Orleans, so I made the most of it. After breakfast at the soda shop, I met up with my friend Claudia and he rmom and we went on two tours. The first was of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 with Save Our Cemeteries. The second was Tour Treme with French Quarter Phantoms. The cemetery tour was very interesting and my first visit to one of the above-ground cemeteries New Orleans is famous for. The Treme tour was equally interesting and a good overview of the history of the neighborhood and the history of music, slaves, and civil rights in the city.

That night, I met up with Rex Dingler and had a chance to catch up with him. We started out at Bellocq at my hotel and wound up at Capdeville by way of Cochon (too busy). The burger at Capdeville was fantastic, so I’ll definitely be back to try some other things off the menu.
