Microsoft Ignite 2016 Hotel List

The long wait is over! Registration for Microsoft Ignite 2016 opened as promised on February 2, and that means it is time to post my list of Ignite Hotels. I’ve been doing it for the last few years to give people a quick and easy way to see what’s available in the hotel block without logging on to the registration site.

Microsoft is doing something new this year, tying the Plus Pass (remember that from last year?) to two hotels. The Plus Pass Omni and Plus Pass Westin offer exclusive access to the hotel blocks at the Omni Atlanta at CNN Center and the Westin at Peachtree Plaza. That privilege will set you back $495. You also receive the typical Plus Pass perks including access to an exclusive lounge and express materials pickup. Bit rich for my tastes, but you can’t get a hotel any closer to the Georgia World Congress Center than the Omni so keep that in mind.

I’ve improved the list this, making it an interactive table. You can sort columns and filter on availability, neighborhood, and the hotel brand. I also provide distances from the hotels to the GWCC.

  • Available – Hotel is listed in search results on Ignite site.
  • Plus Pass – Hotel is available but requires purchase of a Plus Pass.
  • Unavailable – Hotel is not listed in search results on Ignite site but is not tagged as SOLD OUT.
  • SOLD OUT – Hotel is tagged as SOLD OUT on Ignite site.
• Availability does change based on cancellations so some sold-out hotels may become available again.
