Microsoft Ignite 2018 Hotel Update (April 7)
General registration for Microsoft Ignite opened on Tuesday and as expected, we have several hotels that are now either unavailable or officially sold out. I have updated the (unofficial) Microsoft Ignite Hotels page, but if you just want to know what changed, keep reading. Please note the usual caveats:
- “Unavailable” means the hotel no longer shows up in a search for a Sunday-Friday stay. If your dates differ, you may be able to book the hotel.
- Until the Ignite site tags the hotel as “Sold Out”, it may become available again depending on cancellations and/or additions to the block.
Hotel Changes
Eight hotels have dropped off the list this week:
- Castle Hotel (Sold Out)
- Fairfield Inn and Suites Orlando International Drive Convention Center (Sold Out)
- Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort (Sold Out)
- Homewood Suites by Hilton Orlando International Drive Convention Center
- Hyatt Place Orlando Convention Center (Sold Out)
- Rosen Centre Hotel (Sold Out)
- Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando (Sold Out)
- SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center International Drive Area (Sold Out)
I had left the Hyatt Place Orlando Convention Center off my original list this year because it didn’t show up in my original search. It is listed on the Ignite page as being sold out, however, so it may have simply booked up before I checked.
The Ignite site lists the Rosen Plaza as being sold out, but it still shows up when I do a search for rooms. I will leave it marked as available until it drops off my search.
That leaves us with 38 hotels out of 49 (39 including the Hyatt Regency which requires the Convenience Pass). If you have not registered for Ignite yet, the clock is ticking. 170 days to go.
See you in Orlando!
