159/366 Reluctant Patient
Shaggy’s last exam revealed a slight heart murmur. Since he is overdue for a dental cleaning, the vet wanted to have an x-ray done to check his heart as a precaution in advance of any sedation. We want to make sure he wakes up when they put him under. So today we were going to the Humane Society clinic in Chesterfield for the x-ray and some bloodwork. Shaggy, however, wasn’t thrilled about this idea and did this when I told him it was time to go. The protest didn’t last long, however, and we did get through the ordeal (to him anyway) at the vet. As it turned out his heart is slightly enlarged, consistent with the heart murmur, but at this time, nothing to be concerned about.
