154/366 Underpass No More

An underpass connects the Danforth Campus at WashU with the South 40, the area where the residential halls are located. Students have walked under Forsyth Blvd, past walls covered with layers upon layers of painted messages, announcements, signs, etc. The bridge that carried traffic over their heads was below standards, so this summer they tore it out and are working on replacing it.This is a PhotoSynth of the construction site showing that the underpass has been filled in temporarily.  I’m sure the replacement will be an improvement over the old with things like a wider sidewalk, but it just won’t be the same.
