One of my previous Project 365 photos was a look at my countdown clocks for various trips.  I’m revisiting that today but with a focus on one particular countdown.  In 10 hours I’ll be boarding a plane for Orlando.  Then its one day at Disney World (Hollywood Studios and Epcot) and a week on the Disney Dream. Can’t wait!

How better to frame the Gateway Arch than with… another arch on the Eads Bridge?

A cold, wet, gray winter day. The kind that penetrates whatever you’re wearing, sending a chill straight to your bones.Thankfully that drop is still a drop of water and not a bead of ice.

As I was walking around campus today after lunch, I spotted this grotesque on the arch in Brookings Hall.  It definitely lives up to its name. If you thought it was a gargoyle, that only applies to grotesques that are drain-spouts.

My office is in a computer room, in the basement, so I’d love to have a window of any kind.  However, I’m sure the novelty wears off pretty quick for these folks whose view is of a wall just a few feet away.

I was waiting for Shaggy’s eyes to close as he fell asleep while we watched the NFC Championship game. Actually, I was watching the game. He wasn’t very interested in it as you can see.

Snapped this photo with my phone while I waited for the dog to do his thing. Love the starbursts from the streetlights, but for whatever reason couldn’t replicate it in any of the other photos. Makes an otherwise boring suburban street a little more interesting.

This is what I did on my Friday night while the wife was out-of-town. I know, crazy stuff, eh?

These are the countdown gadgets on my desktop showing how much time remains until Microsoft TechEd (Orlando), Windows in Higher Education (Redmond), and my upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. I like to have something to look forward to, and these countdowns help keep me motivated to keep hanging on.
