Fractured Instructions

Posted in Technology @ 10:37 pm Comments Off

Someone on my staff recently bought an enclosure for a hard drive. The instructions that came with the system included some of the most fractured English I’ve ever read. Try and figure this out:

Is good with machine plank according to the right method conjunction the hard dish, lock the right and HDD, can immediately trust the usage.

Good to know we can trust the usage, and immediately no less!

Perfect Theme Song

Posted in General @ 9:31 pm Comments Off

If ever there was a theme song for engineers and IT folks, Weird Al Yankovic’s new single, White & Nerdy is it. A parody of “Ridin’” by Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone (I’ve never heard of either of these people… had to look them up online), it hits amazingly close to home. For example, I was talking to someone about the Star Wars Christmas Special this morning and it shows up in the video! Check out the video, laugh, and embrace your inner white and nerdy self.

Grabbed Ladewig.org

Posted in Technology @ 10:54 pm Comments Off

I picked up the Ladewig.org domain recently by backordering it at Pool.com. I hadn’t thought much about it until I came back from a trip this weekend (more on that later) and found a note from Pool.com that the backorder was successful. One more to go.
