On Friday night we went to see Dave Attell at the Pageant, one of the stops on his Insomniac tour.
This was our first time at the Pageant, and I’m sure we’ll be back for more shows. The venue isn’t anything fancy, in fact I was a bit disappointed at how plain it all seemed at first. But it works well for the shows that play there and makes for an intimate show.
The show itself was great. Dave was his usual crude funny self. Someone asked about bringing Insomniac in St. Louis, and he mentioned that they aren’t filming right now but that he’d like to do a show here some time. He quipped that the criteria is having someone make it farther than the semifinals on American Idol.

Kristin and I took a vacation day today so that we could attend a midnight screening of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith today and still get a full night’s sleep. After getting up late this morning, we got ready, had lunch, then went to see the film again.
I thought the movie was great. A fitting end to the first trilogy and a great setup for the second trilogy. Although Anakin’s fall to the dark side was quite sudden and abrupt on film, I’m hoping the novelization goes into some more detail on what goes on in his mind as he makes his decision. The duel between Anakin and Obi Wan was incredible and well worth the price of admission.
I’m looking forward to seeing the film in a digital theatre later this month.
