Signage is up for the Trader Joe’s locations in Brentwood (48 Brentwood Promenade Ct, MSN Maps) and Chesterfield (1679 Clarkson Rd, MSN Maps). Both stores are also now listed on the Trader Joe’s web site as coming soon.

No word yet on the possible Creve Coeur location.

I hate grubs. For the second year in a row we have large brown patches in the back yard due to grubs. Pulling back the sod reveals them squirming in the dirt. We had this problem last year and and now they’re back again. The lawn service did a grub control treatment in June, and we watered it in, but it doesn’t seem to have done much good. I’m thinking of switching services next year.

We headed up to Moline for the Labor Day weekend. Our friends Alison and Steve were married on Saturday, and Kristin was one of Alison’s bridesmaids. The weather was beautiful, defying earlier predictions of a chance of storms, and everything went off without a hitch. We saw old friends and made new ones. It was a great weekend. If only it could have lasted a few more days.
