Microsoft Patents “Double-click”

As mentioned at Slashdot, the Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that Microsoft has been granted a patent for the double-click.
The actual patent is for “Time based hardware button for application launch” which basically says that you can take different actions depending on the amount of time the button is pressed and/or how many times you press the button in a period of time.
C’mon… The people at the Patent Office make themselves look more and more inept with every patent they issue in this area. I will be shocked if no one is able to find prior art.
